I decided that while my husband was out of town that I would keep myself busy by doing crafts!

I don't have any St Patrick's Day decorations so I decided that I would m
ake one to hang on my front door. It is definitely not the best thing I have ever made, but I think its cute and I wanted to be at least a little bit festive.
I had an idea of making an Easter egg by mod podging paper on to wood. One day while at hobby lobby I found a oval piece of wood for $1.50, and thought it would work perfect! I bought it and already had paper at home. I took Megan to hobby lobby to get her a piece of wood too. (Collette and Nicole. I should of thought of this craft earlier because it would of been a good one to do for craft night. But I knew there was no way we would all be able to get together before Easter.) I used my cricut to cut out the paper, then mod podged it to the wood and decorated it with buttons and rhinestones. I am pretty proud of it! But Megan's turned out a lot cuter then mine!

On one of the craft blogs I look at I saw all these d.i.y subway art. I decided that it was exactly what my living room needed. One night while watching TV, I used my cricut to cut out all the words I wanted on it. Then arranged them on the floor how I wanted them. I measured to see about how big of a canvas I would need. At hobby lobby I found a canvas for pretty cheap the size that I needed. I painted it black and the mod podged the words on. I am very proud about how it turned out! I can't wait to hang it up in my living room!

It sure has been fun being crafty but I am sure excited for my husband to come home! 2 weeks is way too long. Josh doesn't hold back my craftiness or anything, I just like to spend all my time with him, plus I don't think he would be very happy about the mess on the living room floor the whole time he was gone :) I plan to keep embracing my craftiness and I will be sure to blog about it!

I started this blog post the day we got home from Vegas, and just never finished it until now. I need to get better at blogging. Sorry!
I couldn't have married a better guy!
