Road Trip!

Josh and I are on our way from Draper, UT to Fort White, FL. We decided that since we were going to drive all that way we would make a BIG road trip out of it, and stop in Iowa (where Josh served his mission) and Nauvoo, plus a few other fun stops

Day 1: Draper, UT to Cheyenne, WY: 455 miles.
- with stops at Fort Bridger and the Laramie County fair demolition derby.

Day 2: Cheyenne, WY to Omaha, NE: 497 miles.
- with stops at Lincoln County fair, the worlds largest plow, Buffalo Bills ranch, and Lincoln for dinner.

Day 3: Omaha, NE to Marengo, IA: 224 miles.
- with stops at the worlds largest ball of stamps, the birthplace of John Wayne, and the bridges of Madison county.

Day 4: Marengo, IA to Waverly, IA: 82 miles.
- withs stops at the Amana colonies, the worlds largest rocking chair, Bremer County fair, The fainting goat!

Day 5: Waverly, IA to Nauvoo, IL: 203 miles.
- with stops at the field of dream movie site, crystal lake cave!

Day 6: Nauvoo!
- with stops at the brick yard, post office, gunsmith, black smith and the temple!

Day 7: Nauvoo, IL to Festus, MO: 250 miles.
- with stops at Carthage Jail, Mark Twain's birthplace, and the Gateway Arch!

Day 8: Festus, MO to Tupelo, MS: 357 miles.
- with stops at Beale St, Sun Studio, and Graceland!

Day 9: Tupelo, MS to Pensacola, FL: 336 miles.
- with stops at Walmart and an under water tunnel!

Day 10: Pensacola, FL to Fort White, FL: 309 miles.
- with stops at Pensacola beach!

Day 11: Fort White!
- Ginnie Springs: Josh, his brother and his dad went diving today in one of the springs. I sat out and read and watched all the red necks float down the river!

I will try and update this everyday but I can update my Facebook from my phone so you can check that for pictures!

Ashlee, You have a lot of the same pictures as Chelsie and Orv and I took on our road trip to New York last summer. Except, we missed the ball of stamps although we did see the worlds largest ball of string!!! We should get together and compare stories! I noticed you did the same as we did... First we were going 500+ miles a day and as the trip wore on the drive time got shorter and shorter. I didn't realize it until we got home and I started listing things out.
Sounds like you had fun!!!
