Getting buff

This picture was posted on the crossfitdraper.com blog yesterday. This is obviously not the most flattering picture of me, but i am proud of it! This is me doing thrusters for the first time. Not my favorite because they involve squats and I hate squats.
I just thought I would show you guys how buff I am getting :) I feel like I am starting to actually progress. Even though I hate working out and I don't want to go every time we go, I am starting to feel good after, not like I am going to die, which is definitely good :)

Vegas!

One of Josh's friends got us free tickets to The Shot Show in Vegas a few weeks ago. We didn't really have anything going that week, except for house sitting Josh's parents house, but Josh's sister graciously took the dog for a few days for us! We tried to decide what day we were going to leave and decided Thursday, but on Wednesday Josh decided that we were going to leave that day! (SURPRISE)

We went to the SHOT SHOW on Thursday. We got to the convention center around 10:30 that morning and we turn our passes in at 5 that evening. Wow that was a lot of walking
This was right after we walked into the SHOT SHOW! Josh was pretty excited!
This was a pretty cool SUV with a giant machine gun coming out of the roof!
There were lots of skanky girls like this walking around but this one was pretending to be a mannequin! I thought she was real and then thought she was fake and then saw her blink!
Josh posing with one of the guns!
Me posing with the "swamp thing"! This was a mannequin thank goodness.
Josh's favorite part was playing a simulation shooting game. He was really good at it too!
While looking at one of the booths Josh whispers in my ear "some guy is changing over there" he wasn't just changing he was just sitting there with his pants off. It was kinda funny but sad and weird too. The owner of the booth had to come tell him to put his pants back on. I will spare you guys the picture because I bet you don't want to see it.

After the SHOT SHOW, Josh took me out to a great dinner, since we both hadn't eaten since about 10 am. Then we walked around the strip for awhile. We walked so much that day, Josh bet we walked about 25 miles. I was sore the next day.

It was raining in Vegas a few days before we got there and it rained till Thursday night. Vegas does not know how to function in the rain. They have really bad drainage on the streets and on the sidewalks. I always would accidentally walk through the deepest part of the puddles. At one point Josh had to pick me up and carry me across the road because there were so many deep puddles. It was my favorite part of our trip!

On Friday we drove to Primm to go to the outlet mall. I love that place! On our way back to Vegas we decided to stop at Lake Mead because I have never been to Hoover Dam. It was fun!

I forgot my camera so you have to deal with phone pictures!
I started this blog post the day we got home from Vegas, and just never finished it until now. I need to get better at blogging. Sorry!

I am the Luckiest!

Today has been 6 months since the best day of my life!
Happy 6 month anniversary to Josh and I!
I couldn't have married a better guy!

Thanks for all you do for me Joshy. I love you so much!

I skied! I am a skier!

On Saturday Josh took me skiing for my first time. (In 5th grade I went cross country skiing and snow boarding and neither of those caught on) I have actually never wanted to go skiing. My brother Travis came with us, because it had been a long time since he had been to he just wanted practice and to see if he still liked it! We stayed on the bunny hill the whole time. On my last run I was starting to get the hang of it and didn't fall the whole way down (I did just sit down, but that was because I panicked and thought I was going to run in to a tree :))

Date Night!

Josh had a class at "The Crater" on Friday night, I went up with him and while he taught his class I sat in the activity center and worked on my Open Water Diver classroom work. After his class we drove to Park City for a Dueling Pianos show at the Egyptian Theater. Keys on Main. I had never been to a dueling piano show, but had always wanted to go. It was so much fun. (Sorry about the poor quality of pictures, Josh never knows where his camera is, and i get sick of packing my huge camera around sometimes)

They played:
Lady Gaga, Poker Face
The Piano Man
Brown Eyed Girl
The Devil Went Down to Georgia
I Like Big Butts
The Day The Music Died
Snoop Dogg...
...and lots more :)

ok, ok, ok, here you go.

I guess I can just update you on my life right now... but there is not really anything exciting going on it. And I don't have any cool pictures either.

Josh and I spoke in church last Sunday, It went well for the most part, I at least didn't trip, pass out, or throw up while I was up there.

The new years resolutions are going well so far, I have only eaten gluten on one day on my "gluten night" Which I am still trying to decide if that is a good idea or not. I probably should just stay away from gluten 100%. Also Josh and I have gone to the gym for 2 full weeks (3 days a week for me, and 4 days a week for Josh). Crossfit Draper kicks my butt, but I feel like i am getting the hang of it more and I am getting better and lifting more weight then when we started in Nov. Plus I don't get as sore as i did the first few times we went.

I am still looking for a job, and I am still keeping my fingers crossed for the NICU job. Pray that I find a GOOD one soon!

Josh and I are working on my scuba certification so I can be ready for the big trip this summer! I am still a little scared about it, and have mini freak attacks but I am determined to do it! I will be the cutest little scuba diver ever :)

Josh is planning on taking me skiing for my first time on Saturday, so most likely a good blog story will come from that.
