Half way mark....

My half way mark got skipped.... last monday I was 18 weeks and today I am 21 weeks... Where did those 2 weeks go? They got skipped, My doctor changed my due date to October 14th which is 2 whole weeks earlier then my original due date. (I'm not complaining)  I definitely feel like 2 weeks have been added to my baby and my belly.  I feel huge lately.  He has been very active the last week, kicking and punching a lot.  My first baby shower is on Saturday, I will make sure to take lots of pictures and post about it!

It's a...

... BOY!

... and I could not be happier!  Josh and I both thought and hoped it was a boy!  The ultrasound went great today, they said that everything looks perfect.  They said that he is measuring bigger than the original due date that the doctor gave me, so my due date might be Oct 14th instead of Oct 26th, but the Dr. will have to decide that at my next doctor appointment, on Monday.

Not the best picture but this is me at 19 or 20 1/2 weeks. (which ever the doctor decides)

I can't believe there is a mango or cantaloupe sized baby inside of me. But the ultrasound tech said that he weighs just about 12 oz so he might even be bigger then a cantaloupe.

This week my belly has popped out and a definitely look pregnant now.  I have actually felt what it feels like to be pregnant.  When people ask how I am feeling I say "pregnant".  I get exhausted from doing really simple projects, its almost impossible for me to get up from the floor and the muscles and ligaments in my tummy hurt a lot.  The last 3 days he has been kicking like crazy and during the ultrasound he was moving like crazy the whole time, the tech had a hard time getting good pictures of him because he moved too fast.  He is a busy baby.

Josh and I haven't decided on any names yet, we are working on that.  But I have definitely decided on the decor of his nursery, that was decided even before I was pregnant.  Here is my "vision board" of all my ideas for his nursery.
Its going to be very cute!

Baby Avocado!

Wow an avocado seems HUGE! Nothing real new in the baby department. I am not throwing up as much anymore and I am kind of starting to get my appetite back. But cupcake pebbles sound good to me all the time, they are kinda gross but I am addicted to them.

I am starting to show more, I will get a picture up soon.  Josh and I are trying to get the house and the room that the nursery will be in cleaned up and organized.  The room has been used as an office (more like a desk with lots of stuff piled on it, no work happens on this desk) and as Josh's closet, Our master closet only fits my clothes in it and that a tight fit.

The second part of this post is a wish list (more like DREAM list) from this new website I found called Ruche. Its a little pricey for our budget and right now is probably not the best time to be looking for new clothes, but a girl can dream!

14 weeks! Baby Lemon!

Today I had my 14 week Doctor appointment. It was a pretty quick appointment. They say my baby is not shy at all, they find the heart beat right away with the doppler machine, which makes me happy. I didn't have too many questions just about having a sinus infection that my husband gave me. Josh had been sick for the last couple weeks and whenever he gets sick, he usually starts to get sick and then gets better and then I get super sick.

So Josh got really sick and last week I started getting a sinus headache early in the week but Thursday it started getting worse, I called the nurse at the dr office to ask if I could take any kind of other medication while taking my Zyrtec (allergy med that I take for morning sickness) and the nurse told me that I couldn't, I had to take one or the other. So Saturday I knew it was going to be a bad day so I decided to forego the Zyrtec and take sinus meds but without my Zyrtec I couldn't keep any of my other meds or even food down. By the end of the day my head hurt so bad, it was one of the crappiest days ever. But today at the dr I found out I can take Sudafed with my Zyrtec, the dr was upset with the nurse telling me other wise and I am pretty upset at her too, but I am feeling better today, especially with Zyrtec and Sudafed in my system and the dr put me on an antibiotic so I don't get any worse.

My morning sickness does actually seem like its getting better but I swear by Zyrtec! I am having a little muscle and ligament and joint pain but nothing that a bath wont fix.

My ultra sound is schedules for May 31st. So we will start a poll to see what everyone thinks i am having. I don't really have any cravings because I still don't have much of an appetite, but fruity things sound a lot better then chocolate. I could go for ice cream anytime. I haven't really wanted more meat but I can eat it just fine, just doesn't gross me out, anymore then it did before. The weirdest food thing that has happened is I made Josh take me to Harmon's at 10pm last week to buy me a watermelon :) The babys heart rate has been 162 and 163. I have been colder than normal, even though I am a normally cold person. I can't think of anything else that would determine if its a boy or a girl. I won't tell you what I think or what most people think because I want to hear what YOU think.

Our Nest!

So have been thinking for a while now that I wanted to change my blog name, since my blog address has my maiden name in it, which I didn't even keep when I change my name to Thornton. I also wanted it to be more of a family blog not a personal blog even though I doubt my husband will make an appearance. So the other day I decided on the name The Thornton's Nest, I checked to see if it was available and it was, so I own it now. Yay! So I am not using it yet, I am trying to decide if I should move my blog or just change the name. If I move it I will keep this one up for a while with a link to the new one.

Baby Lime!

I would like to introduce the world to our baby Lime. I am officially 11 weeks pregnant with a baby, about the size of a Lime! Most everyone probably suspected it, or knew it, but I tried my hardest to keep it a secret. Its hard to keep a secret when you are puking all the time and just feel like crap, plus I wore these most of the time to make the nausea go away (not very discreet).

I always carry a bag of snacks with me at all time, usually containing Blue Diamond Almond Nut-Thins Hint of Salt flavor, my water bottle, a Capri sun or Propel (both kiwi-strawberry flavor), some kind of rice cake, a couple bags of fruit snacks, big red gum and pink wintergreen mints (my mom said that she would swear by these when she was pregnant). Most people said that if they just keep eating throughout the whole day they would feel fine, for me it didn’t matter, I threw up if I ate or if I didn’t eat. Our Dr. told Megan to take Zyrtec (the allergy medication) To make her nausea go away and she swore by it, so she had me to try it, I honestly don’t know if the Zyrtec and my bracelets helped at all because I still got sick, but I still continue to use them because if they are working I wouldn’t want to see what happened without them. My morning sickness started around 4 ½ weeks and was really bad until I was 8 weeks. At 8 weeks it slowed down a little and I was only throwing up a few times a week instead of a few times a day. After the morning sickness slowed down the pregnancy fatigue set in. I am generally just a tired person, but there is no way to explain how tired you get when there is a baby growing inside of you. This isn’t supposed to be a complaining blog, just letting everyone know how I have been, I have been keeping away from blogging and updating my facebook too much because there isn’t too much going on that doesn’t revolve around this baby!

Being pregnant and having Celiac Disease is really not fun at all. There isn’t a lot of choices of things to eat anyways and sometimes I just want a sandwich from kneaders, but right now is definitely not a good time to deprive my body of nutrients, I want this baby to be as healthy as I can.

I had my 10 week appointment on Monday. I was super nervous for it, I actually cried and threw up on the drive to the dr. Everything went great. They found the baby’s heartbeat really fast with the Doppler machine, it was 163 beats per min! The Dr said that everything looks great and everything is right on track! I wish I had a ultra sound picture or something to show you, but we will just have to wait.

Benelli!

Josh and I got a puppy a week ago yesterday!  I should of blogged about him before, but you know how I am.  He is an english springer spaniel and is 6 weeks old.  Josh has wanted a puppy for awhile now and he finally talked me into it even though somedays I am still not very happy about it.  He is going to be a hunting dog and he is named Benelli after a shot gun.  He is very cute and learned how to sleep in his kennel all night pretty fast and hasn't had too many accident in the house, so we got very lucky with that.  But boy does he like to chew on everything he can find, including me.
